Central Security Airport Extension

The Central Security Airport Extension is a major expansion of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol that facilitates the new security system for the airport. A growing number of passengers and an increase in flights created the need for a new infrastructure.

The new Central Security, where passenger flows are separated according to origin and destination, makes screening a much faster and more comfortable process for travellers. Departure halls 2 and 3 and piers E, F and G were expanded and restructured, all while the day-to-day business of the second largest airport in the world had to go on.
